Sole Practitioner

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who practices accounting in his or her own firm without another CPA as a partner or shareholder

CPA Firm

A Certified Public Accountant Firm (CPA firm) is simply a firm that is licensed in the state in which they operate and owned, at least in part by a Certified Public Accountant.

CPA from a non-member firm

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who practices accounting in a CPA firm and whose firm is not a member of ncCPAp.

Retired CPA

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who no longer practices accounting, but wishes to stay active in the community.
